This is Coaster Index's fastest coasters ranking for California, covering the top 25 operating installations in the state by top speed. State-level rankings are useful for planning a road trip without leaving a single state — most U.S. coaster destinations cluster within a few hours of each other, and a state-level shortlist makes it possible to design a multi-park weekend that hits two or three ranked coasters in a single trip.
The list pulls from every coaster we hold for California, filtered to those with valid top speed data and sorted automatically.
